Conscious Architecture for Self-Builders & Homeowners
Good design shouldn’t be a luxury for the few—it’s a foundation for how we live. Across Ireland and internationally, I collaborate with self-builders and community initiatives to challenge the cycle of repetitive, uninspired housing.
My practice is rooted in crafting with people, merging original architectural thinking with low-impact principles like smart modularity, circular construction, and design for disassembly. With a background in advanced environmental studies—including a focus on design for disassembly—I bring a deep understanding of how buildings can be both sustainable and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.
My work is informed by my architectural training, where I developed a keen eye for detail and a commitment to creating spaces that truly serve their users.
Beyond formal education, I’ve spent years exploring how communities can live lightly on the earth. Through a two-year research project, I visited 20 eco-villages across Europe, studying how they address environmental, economic, social, and even spiritual challenges. These experiences have shaped my approach to design—one that values not just the building, but the people and the planet it serves.
