13th February 2021 Wild awake in Garinish Harbour
“it really doesn’t matter how bad I feel on any given day
Spending time with the sea changes everything
Especially on a wild windy day like today
I can’t not be present in my body
All my sense wide awake
I grip the rocks with imaginary roots as the wind buffets and blows
My nostrils flare as I inhale the salty air
My eyes like antennae receiving the stormy changes of light and movement
I leave as if woken from a dream
Wild awake!!”
